The St. Regis Bar Downtown Dubai

The St. Regis Bar nods to the cultural and diverse heritage of The St. Regis brand, whilst being influenced by the city in which its located. The venue features a mirrored mural embellished by lights stretching across the ceiling, depicting the glittering stars at night seen from the Arabian Desert.
In the past, Arab sailors' most prized asset was their astrolabe, which they used to measure the location of the moon and the stars when sailing to get an accurate reading of direction out at sea. The innovative development of the astrolabe, the sleek racing dhows, and the magnificent trading ships also lend themselves to the beautiful design of The St. Regis Bar.
The home of the Champagne Sabering practice, which dates back to the battles of Napoleon Bonaparte, who famously opened champagne with his Saber in both victory and defeat, has come to be known as a signature St. Regis ceremony and in honoring this tradition, The St. Regis Bar will offer celebratory Champagne sabering every time a guest orders a Champagne.
